Privacy Policy

Overview

Cull is a local-only iOS app for curating your photo library. We do not use accounts, cloud sync, or any backend service. Your photos and your decisions stay on your device. This policy describes how the app interacts with your data.

Photo Library Access

Cull requests access to your photo library so you can review and manage your photos within the app. You can grant full access or limited access (e.g. selected photos) via iOS. We use this access only to display photos for review and, when you explicitly confirm, to move photos you mark for deletion to the system Recently Deleted album. We do not upload, transmit, or sync any of your photos to our servers or any third party.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect personal information, usage analytics that identify you, or any content from your device. There are no accounts or sign-in. All processing happens locally on your iPhone or iPad.

Data Stored on Your Device

Any in-app state (such as which photos you have marked for deletion before you tap "Delete X photos") is stored locally on your device. When you confirm deletion, photos are moved only to the iOS Recently Deleted album. They remain there for up to 30 days, after which iOS may remove them. We do not permanently delete photos; we do not have access to your device after you close the app.

Disclosure of Your Information

We do not share your photos or any data with third parties. We do not sell or license your data. No data leaves your device for our servers because we do not operate any servers for Cull.

Data Security

Your photos and choices stay on your device, subject to your device’s security (e.g. passcode, Face ID). We do not transmit your data, so we are not a vector for remote access to your library. You are responsible for backing up your photos if you wish to recover them after they leave Recently Deleted.

Children's Privacy

Cull is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Because the app is local-only and does not collect data, there is no separate children’s data flow.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Cull after changes means you accept the updated policy.
